Tapping also called Emotional Freedom Technique and EFT is a simple technique that has been used to ease upset emotions around life events. We use our fingertips to tap on specific acupuncture meridian points while saying out loud what is bugging us. This can feel relaxing and may let us open to other emotions like confidence, calm and joy.

Quick Introduction to Tapping:
If you’d like to see how it feels tap on the karate chop point (look at pic to the left) with fingertips of other hand and tap about the same pressure as tapping on a table . Keep tapping while you read.
Tapping is made more powerful and effective by tapping on the same meridian points used by acupuncturists and we can do it ourselves or with others.
We also use words to express our intention and address the emotion. For example, let's suppose I'm angry after an argument with a co-worker or a loved one. I would say the following three times, while tapping on the karate chop point the whole time.
Way to go, you just did some Tapping!
Even though we weren't tapping on an actual conflict, people often feel a bit more at peace just going through this very basic tapping.
Here's a quick tapping (KD's Adventure, now: Empower Grow Transform) on work stress. This shows tapping on the karate chop point and using words to express the intention to reduce it.
