The dreamer in me likes the word “dream”. To create the life I crave, dreams have been helpful.
Dreaming gets the ideas flowing. By taking action it can be created. As you probably know this is often called a goal. For dreams to be created, action needs to happen. So, dream big and take action to create the life you crave! Don't defer your dream or goal until after the new year, this is a fantastic time to continue to create them.
Set up supports and systems around you to instantly translate your intentions into action. Jump on opportunities that line up with your dream or goal. When something pops into your head to do towards it, write it down and go for it! When you act on your dream or goal it keeps it alive and gives energy to continue towards achievement. My hubby was doing jury duty for a few days and I missed him. I had this wave of thankfulness for him being able to work from home at this time.
Have you felt a wave of thankfulness for something recently? Feeling thankful brings more joy and appreciation into life. Remember self-care, especially during the holidays. This can be:
If the bucket is empty during the holidays, some of the wonder and joy is lost. Be kind to yourself with self-care! Are there smaller things to lead to your larger dream or goal?
For example: If you’re wanting to change your career path and need to update your degree or need a certification to do this. Talk to someone you know working in this area, look into what training would be the best fit for your life, contact them to see what the next steps are. Taking one small step taken today moves you closure to what you want. When feeling fear about a situation check in with yourself to see what in this situation triggers you (where is it coming from).
Learning to identify it will help you learn to acknowledge it, address and move on. Today's a great day to take stock of what your thankful for!
During the holidays life becomes extra hectic. Take time for yourself to have the energy for the extras holidays bring. Some ideas:
This will bring more joy to your holidays. What will you feel like when you reach your goal or dream?
Remember to spend time in this feeling to fuel your passion to experience this dream or goal completed. The Hawaiian Kahuna say, "Where your creative attention flows, so flows your life." When I've had failures sometimes I turtle at first. Then I tell myself to pull on my big girl pants and look for the next step or direction to take.
When You Face A Failure, How Do You Move On? When fear rears up, it’s helpful to have safe places to go. Having these spaces set up is a great way to plan ahead for fear.
This could be an actual place or it can be a beautiful visual space to relax in before a big event and when needed. Safe, tranquil havens will be calming and it’ll be easier to face your fear. Have you ever noticed seeing the areas lacking more than the areas of improvement when doing a task? This has come up for me.
Taking the blinders off and broadening the view is helpful. It opens the door to see the growth and great parts done as well as seeing areas to grow in. Seeing a fuller picture is helpful and inspiring. Perception is a very powerful thing, and how you feel about your life affects how you respond. So, think about what you want to happen and you’ll give yourself a much better chance of manifesting it in your life. This won’t happen overnight but just start practicing it with one thought and go from there.
What is one recurring fearful thought you have about something you crave to have in your life? Start reversing this one thought and overtime, this will become a habit. I used to see the glass half empty often but I'm glad I often see it half full, or more, these days. When things become challenging, what self-beliefs and values inspire and encourage yourself to continue forward?
A lot of times, fear shows up in the body and it affects people in different ways. Identify if or how it lurks and nurture your body. Ex: If it shows up by catching your breath, pay attention to when this happens and release it. Then draw some long, slow, deep breaths in and out to nurture your body.
Write down realistic and unrealistic fears that pop into your mind as you’re working towards completing a goal. Pick a few and counteract them, using encouraging reminders that inspire you to continue on the path to completion.
