Changing the past isn't possible but learning from it is.
If a past event comes to mind that you’d wished gone differently. Ask yourself: What could I have done differently. Possibly spoke with a softer voice. Taken a few deep breaths before responding. And if it isn’t a good time say something like hey, we’re here to have some fun, lets table this for now and talk about it at another time. We can’t go back and change things but we can learn from it and handle it differently. It’s easy to see your own faults and feel bad about it but taking time to focus on strengths feels better.
This diminishes the negative effects of things you aren’t as proficient in yet. Utilize your strengths and enjoy the feeling of satisfaction. Stress busting Tip 3 – find a quiet place to spend time in. It can be a comfy couch enjoying a relaxing cup of tea, take a walk to a special place and enjoy some beauty and quiet in nature.
Spending some time in a quiet place is a great way to reduce stress. Stress Busting Tip 2 – Let yesterday go and focus on today.
At times this feels difficult to do. Here are some ways to address this. Acknowledge the feelings and concerns from the past. Recognize them for what they are. This lets the focus come back to the current day. When in the present time, stress is lower. It's great to have a special place to go to in your mind during times of stress.
When needing a stress break, focus on this special relaxing place. It can be real or made up. Take some deep belly breaths in and out and take in the serenity of this place. Visit this relaxing place and feel the peace within anytime you need to. Have you ever noticed a situation when you left feeling unfulfilled or demotivated. These are times when some of your values aren’t being acknowledged or honored and this doesn’t fit who you truly are.
Getting to know your values and living your values, leads to aligning with who you are and living as your true self in the real world. When feeling fear about a situation check in with yourself to see what in this situation triggers you.
Learning to identify it will help you learn to acknowledge it and move on. 2023 is here!
What dreams do you want to take action on and what goals would you like to accomplish this year? Here are a few ideas for energizing and inspiring these . . . Find a way to measure your progress. Share with a friend, track and celebrate your smaller wins as your moving towards your bigger one(s). Find energy and inspiration for your dreams and goals! The dreamer in me likes the word “dream”. To create the life I crave, dreams have been helpful.
Dreaming gets the ideas flowing. By taking action it can be created. As you probably know this is often called a goal. For dreams to be created, action needs to happen. So, dream big and take action to create the life you crave! Don't defer your dream or goal until after the new year, this is a fantastic time to continue to create them.
Set up supports and systems around you to instantly translate your intentions into action. Jump on opportunities that line up with your dream or goal. When something pops into your head to do towards it, write it down and go for it! When you act on your dream or goal it keeps it alive and gives energy to continue towards achievement. My hubby was doing jury duty for a few days and I missed him. I had this wave of thankfulness for him being able to work from home at this time.

If the bucket is empty during the holidays, some of the wonder and joy is lost. Be kind to yourself with self-care! Are there smaller things to lead to your larger dream or goal?
For example: If you’re wanting to change your career path and need to update your degree or need a certification to do this. Talk to someone you know working in this area, look into what training would be the best fit for your life, contact them to see what the next steps are. Taking one small step taken today moves you closure to what you want. When feeling fear about a situation check in with yourself to see what in this situation triggers you (where is it coming from).

Remember to spend time in this feeling to fuel your passion to experience this dream or goal completed. The Hawaiian Kahuna say, "Where your creative attention flows, so flows your life." When fear rears up, it’s helpful to have safe places to go. Having these spaces set up is a great way to plan ahead for fear.
This could be an actual place or it can be a beautiful visual space to relax in before a big event and when needed. Safe, tranquil havens will be calming and it’ll be easier to face your fear. Have you ever noticed seeing the areas lacking more than the areas of improvement when doing a task? This has come up for me.
Taking the blinders off and broadening the view is helpful. It opens the door to see the growth and great parts done as well as seeing areas to grow in. Seeing a fuller picture is helpful and inspiring. Perception is a very powerful thing, and how you feel about your life affects how you respond. So, think about what you want to happen and you’ll give yourself a much better chance of manifesting it in your life. This won’t happen overnight but just start practicing it with one thought and go from there.
What is one recurring fearful thought you have about something you crave to have in your life? Start reversing this one thought and overtime, this will become a habit. I used to see the glass half empty often but I'm glad I often see it half full, or more, these days. A lot of times, fear shows up in the body and it affects people in different ways. Identify if or how it lurks and nurture your body. Ex: If it shows up by catching your breath, pay attention to when this happens and release it. Then draw some long, slow, deep breaths in and out to nurture your body.
