Creating More Peace 1

This year I am on a mission to have more peace.

One thing I did recently was to do some deep breathing while listening to relaxing ocean sounds.

If you’re in need of some peace, choose something simple to bring more of it into your life.

Distractions

Do you wonder where the time goes and why things aren't getting done. Distractions get in the way.
 
If you're catching yourself fascinated by something that moves your focus away from the 
next important step towards a goal to thrive in your life (a new job or promotion, school, planning your next adventure) these can be distractions that are getting in the way of where you want to go.

  1. Pick two things each day to focus on
  2. When you notice your focus has gone some place else
  3. Refocus on your two things

When focusing on the next few steps towards the thriving life you want, it keeps the momentum going towards where you want to go.

Stress & Tension Flowing Out

The other day I was dealing with many things around a project in progress. And I was shallow breathing. When I took a few deep breaths and started to tap and the stress flowed out of me.

When you feel the stress or tension in the body rising take a few deep breaths and release it

Add more calming by tapping gently on the karate chop point

There are times we don’t realize how wound up we’ve become, when you notice it do something simple to reduce and release it.

Spend time in the feeling of what your wanting more of
Be open to ideas that come to mind
Even let it become a visualization of what you want

Let your mind focus on what you're wanting more of and when something comes to mind take a small action step toward it.

Filling My Bucket During The Holidays

The Holiday season can be busy. Set aside some special time for you this week to fill your bucket.
  • Choose what you want to do (sit by a fire with a good book or a quiet cup of tea, take a walk or something else you enjoy)
  • What day and time do you have on your calendar for "special me time"
  • Put it on your calendar with a reminder and when it pops up just do it!
It's good to have a full bucket and feel amazing.

Tapping Script For Self-kindness

Follow the easy steps for self-kindness tapping
 
​Rate your low self-kindness feeling between 0 - 10, 10 being the lowest self-kindness you've had and 0 being the most self-kindness you've had.

Tap gently on the karate chop point and say out loud 3 times:
 
Even though I feel low self-kindness I love and accept myself as I am
 
Tap gently on each round and other points and say out loud on each point:

I want to nurture my self-kindness
 
Take 3 deep breaths in and out and check your rating number, repeat until 2 or lower

Fear Of Moving Forward

In life fear comes up when change is wanted and there’s a choice to be made. You can stay where you are or you can find ways to move around or past it.
 
The best way I’ve found to move around or past fear is to take one small doable step at a time. Here are three questions to get you started toward change:
 
  1. What is the first step towards the change you want?
  2. What’s the number between 0 and 10 of resistance for doing this first step (zero no resistance and 10 the most you’ve ever felt)?
  3. If your number is higher than a 2, what is an even smaller step you can take?
 
When your number is a 0 to 2 take action! Move past fear and take action one small doable step at a time.

Using mantras and tapping at the same time is a powerful practice to use.

​When I did a previous post around thought and quote tapping, I decided I wanted to post more on this and include a mantra, thought or possibly a quote.  

Here are the 3 steps to walk through this with a mantra. Feel free to use a favorite thought, quote or mantra of your own choosing.
 
  1. Mantra: I’m the boss of my wellness journey
  2. Think about it and write down what comes up
  3.  ​Then tap on the topics that are standing in your way of it
 
This is a great way to start moving forward on things you want to add to your life.

Wanting To Add Something New In Life pt. 2

When adding something new in life, the inner negative Nellie voice can speak up. Here's a practice  to quiet the inner nay-sayer:

 
  1. Thank the inner nay-sayer (thank you for bringing this to my attention
  2. Come up with a mantra to say (ex. I choose to keep my self-care promises to myself)
  3. Gently tap on the karate chop point and say the mantra out loud 3 times
​
​Having a practice to acknowledge and quiet the inner nay-sayer assists with keeping focus where its wanted.

  1. Choose something to do for this
  2. Connect it to something else you do already
  3. Put it on your calendar with reminders and just do it when it pops up
 
These simple steps create a practice to build in something new in life.
