This year I am on a mission to have more peace.
One thing I did recently was to do some deep breathing while listening to relaxing ocean sounds. If you’re in need of some peace, choose something simple to bring more of it into your life. Do you wonder where the time goes and why things aren't getting done. Distractions get in the way.
If you're catching yourself fascinated by something that moves your focus away from the next important step towards a goal to thrive in your life (a new job or promotion, school, planning your next adventure) these can be distractions that are getting in the way of where you want to go.
When focusing on the next few steps towards the thriving life you want, it keeps the momentum going towards where you want to go. The other day I was dealing with many things around a project in progress. And I was shallow breathing. When I took a few deep breaths and started to tap and the stress flowed out of me.
When you feel the stress or tension in the body rising take a few deep breaths and release it Add more calming by tapping gently on the karate chop point There are times we don’t realize how wound up we’ve become, when you notice it do something simple to reduce and release it. Choose something you'd like more of in your life and focus on it.
Spend time in the feeling of what your wanting more of Be open to ideas that come to mind Even let it become a visualization of what you want Let your mind focus on what you're wanting more of and when something comes to mind take a small action step toward it. The Holiday season can be busy. Set aside some special time for you this week to fill your bucket.
![]() Follow the easy steps for self-kindness tapping Rate your low self-kindness feeling between 0 - 10, 10 being the lowest self-kindness you've had and 0 being the most self-kindness you've had. Tap gently on the karate chop point and say out loud 3 times: Even though I feel low self-kindness I love and accept myself as I am Tap gently on each round and other points and say out loud on each point: I want to nurture my self-kindness Take 3 deep breaths in and out and check your rating number, repeat until 2 or lower In life fear comes up when change is wanted and there’s a choice to be made. You can stay where you are or you can find ways to move around or past it.
The best way I’ve found to move around or past fear is to take one small doable step at a time. Here are three questions to get you started toward change:
