1/24/2022

Choose something you'd like more of in your life and focus on it.

Spend time in the feeling of what your wanting more of
Be open to ideas that come to mind
Even let it become a visualization of what you want

Let your mind focus on what you're wanting more of and when something comes to mind take a small action step toward it.

The Overflowing Basket Of Overwhelm

11/16/2021

Picture
One day life was going great and I couldn’t figure out why I was feeling overwhelmed. On my drive home I realized there was an overflowing basket of feelings that needed to be untangled. It felt good to release it and understand why I felt overwhelmed.

Here's the simple process:

  • Separate feelings out of the basket
  • Check in to see if there are any actions needed for each
  • Acknowledge each feeling

This helps to release overwhelm.

Having less overwhelm leads to more peaceful, joyful days.

Why Tapping Is Helpful

8/26/2021

Why tapping is helpful is there are many issues, feelings and events tapping reduces or releases the charge, as I like to call it, or emotional hurt or discomfort connected to feelings, issues and events. Listed below are some:

Life changes (divorce, work, move and relationship matters to name a few)
Stress
Grief
Moving forward in life and goals
Feeling; sad, angry, frustrated, upset, low on joy

There are many more. Tapping has been life changing for myself and others. Learn more about it: Gary Craig Tapping & Easy Daily Tapping

Self-Kindness pt. 1

5/5/2021

Picture
Sometimes we get in a rut and self-kindness fades to the back.

One way to improve self-kindness is to have a list of ways to bring focus back to self-kindness. The list could have somethings to check in on and tap about, such as:

  •  When noticing self-frustration coming up, tap to reduce it

  • When feeling low about yourself, check in on your self-love meter and tap on it (setup statement: even though I feel low self-love, I love myself in this moment, reminder phrases: this low feeling and I love myself in this moment)

  • Pay attention to your inner voice, tap about the inner voice message and redirect it to self-kindness (setup statement: even though I had an unkind thought about myself, I love myself and choose to redirect my thoughts to self-kind ones and reminder phrase: I'm releasing unkind thought and replacing with self-kind one)

Start redirecting back to self-kindness and watch it grow.

Visualizing Flow Of Feeling In, Through & Out

9/28/2020

Picture
On the weekend my Honey and I went to window visit with my Mom at her care place. She’s in her late 80’s and her time here on earth is short, I believe. I remember the robust, full of energy woman she was and it’s sad to see her dwindling and know she’s not going to be here for very much longer. Often, I want to push the sadness away but it’s okay to acknowledge and allow it flow through me in a natural way, like a stream flowing in, through and out of me in a peaceful way. When visualizing the creak flowing sadness through me, it made it easier to spend time with the feeling instead of pushing it away.

  • Gently hold the karate chop point while doing the next two steps
  • Notice when you have sadness or another feeling you want to push away
  • Visualize it flowing in, through and out of yourself like a beautiful flowing stream.

Holding point creates this visualization into a super tool! This is a way to spend time with uncomfortable feelings and to release them.

Light At The End Of The Divorce Tunnel

5/27/2020

Picture

Going through divorce can be a painful process. Take time to recover and grow through this and know there’s light at the end of the divorce tunnel.

I know this because after 20+ years of marriage, on a dark and dreary night, I was served with divorce papers, right before the Holidays. It felt devastating to have 20+ years of marriage ending. I wish I would have had the tools I share to walk through it easier (I did have other tools).

Good things happened, friends and family were there for me. I started a new career and it led to what I’m doing now. New friends and a mentor showed up and when the time was right, a great man came into my life. We became friends and then more and we married in 2018.

There’s life after divorce, be open to change, growth and be ready for revival!

Here’s a link to a program that can walk you through divorce easier.

1/23/2020

We all have experienced uncomfortable emotions in life and it’s best to release these and feel lighter in 2020.

Tapping on the karate chop point and say this 3 times: Even though I feel uncomfortable feelings from 2019 (_______or you can put in what you want to tap on here instead) I love and accept myself

Tap on round points gently saying this out loud:

These uncomfortable 2019 feelings

Take a few deep breaths and tap on round points gently alternating saying:

These uncomfortable 2019 feelings

I choose to release them

Take a few deep breaths. Tap until you feel better, if something specific comes up tap on that too.

Then tap the round points gently saying out loud added (choose one) bliss, peace or calm.

Acknowledge Unhappy, See Humor & Happy Zone

1/22/2020

Picture

When focusing on the unhappy or irritating we can feel grumpier. I was reminded of this after visiting a family member in a hospital. I can kind of laugh about it now, but at the time it felt big. Then I had a conversation with a person starting with a bit of grumping about hospital experience and my mind gave me a wake-up call:

  • Sometimes big business can have inconvenient rules and hey, this hospital helps a lot of people including family, friends and even me.

  • It’s fine to acknowledge grumpy feelings but staying in the happier zones more, makes for a happier me and I like it much better.

Let’s acknowledge unhappy, irritating and grumpy emotions, look for the humor in it and keep our main focus in the happier zone.

Speaking Kindly Before It's To Late pt 1

1/6/2020

Recently a family member was very ill and things didn’t look good. I asked a friend, that’s family, for wisdom and she shared some (it was amazing) and it jogged a memory about a class assignment I had in college.

It was an uncomfortable and kind of morbid assignment. I had to ask someone to write a eulogy as if I had just passed way. Then we read them out loud to the class. It was eye opening to hear how my friend that’s family felt about me.

I was glad for the experience. We often don’t say the things to the important people, what they mean to ourselves while their still here. This opened the door to write and read something like this to my family member by saying what was on my mind and heart in a kind way. It tied up some loose ends and reminded me of some fun memories.

Be open to saying what’s on your mind kindly (if possible), while they’re still here.

When in an uncomfortable situation
Making a change – reminder

Using mantras has assisted myself and others and are a great self-support. Come up with a few mantras, use them when needed and feel empowered.
