When focusing on the next few steps towards the thriving life you want, it keeps the momentum going towards where you want to go. Has fear held you back when you want to move past it? Answer some simple questions to start moving past fear. Why tapping is helpful is there are many issues, feelings and events tapping reduces or releases the charge, as I like to call it, or emotional hurt or discomfort connected to feelings, issues and events. At times when I need to relax, “beat up” messages will come up. Here are some tips on dialing down these messages:
Don’t beat yourself up when you need to relax. Listen to your body, take breaks when needed and have better energy and focus to get your to-dos done more efficiently. ![]() It’s important to put yourself first at times so you have energy to do all the other things. Take the walk that helps with stress and have energy later to wrap or shop for gifts.
When they pop up don't think about them, just do them. This sets yourself up for great self-care and energy to do the things you want to do. When my body was giving me signals to relax, I had resistance to do this. There were many things on my to-do list to get done. In the end I did both and it felt great!
Take time to relax and get things done, you're worth it! Over the Thanksgiving weekend I took time to rejuvenate myself. I knew there were many things to get done but my body was letting me know to take time to relax. Here are 3 ideas to get you thinking about relaxing:

When you look at the “big Change” start separating it into smaller ones and smaller ones until it's no brainer doable. This easy practice reduces stress by making change easier. ![]() It’s funny when I’m listening to others about an issue in their lives, many questions come to mind to ask to get them thinking. This is the life coach coming out in me. Although when it’s my issue, they can fade to the back at times. One question that has been helpful is: If this was a friend’s issue and they were open to a question to get them thinking, what would it be? This often movies me forward. When walking through change, don’t let the “can't do's” get in the way of the "can do's". Be on the look out for can do's and just do them when they come up.

When you catch yourself thinking of an unhappy past event here are some tips to bring yourself out of it:
Say “stop” Look at something around you Tap You can put these three tips together and use it as a super tool. Have you ever noticed feeling nervous or fear coming up and you realize your thinking of what ifs for a future event? When we spend time thinking about unpleasant outcomes of a future event, it brings on nervous or fearful feelings. Find ways to bring yourself back to the present. A few ways are:
Tap Focus on your breathing Connect with one of your senses Staying present is a great way to dial down fear and nervousness. Sometimes solely navigating a project or life event, such as divorce, is easy and other times it feels overwhelming and possibly even scary.
Be open to finding and using resources to move forward on projects and life events. This makes projects and life events, like divorce, feel less overwhelming and more doable. ![]() When fear and stress are up, many other enjoyable feelings and experiences fade to the back.
