Inspiration took flight after a recent chat and my creativity took off from there. It felt energizing to wake up early with many ideas to put down on paper! Let's be open to creativity and embrace it in our own unique ways! Below is sneak peek of the title page. ![]() Recently, while recovering from surgery, I had movement restrictions. It ended up being 6 weeks of wearing a funky brace even when I slept to give my body time to heal. When the day came to stop wearing it, I wanted to shout “FREEDOM” at the top of my lungs and toss the brace! It's funny how we can take for granted movement or other things we do or have without thinking about it, until it’s gone, even temporarily. Let’s be thankful for what we have, movement, sight and more. When walking through divorce it can be a lonely time. I’ve been exploring how I can enjoy myself when I feel this way. I plan ahead when I know it could be a lonely time. Recently I stepped out of my comfort zone and did some new things. I went to: A restaurant I didn’t know people at, shopped at a trinket store and visited a bakery. It felt empowering to enjoy my own company and get out of the house on an adventure.
Empowering ourselves by planning ahead, relax and enjoy our own company when in community and other people when possible. When my hubby was on a trip, I wanted him to have something special from me each day. I sent an ecard and we both enjoyed the long-distance connection. One time a friend gave me a basket of goodies. Sometimes we want to do something kind for a friend, significant other or family. Here are some things I’ve done and another did for me.
• I emailed cards • Tucked some cards in a suitcase • A friend gave me a basket full of fun for Valentine’s Day It felt good to do something kind and receive some too. Do something kind for another and enjoy it when you receive something too. ![]() When I was a child, I remember fondly loving to get up Saturday morning and watch some cartoons, it was a care-free time. What was your favorite cartoon when you were a child? Scooby Doo was my favorite. Do you say “I’m sorry” often, I can too at times. It’s important to apologize when we have done something wrong, hurt another unintentionally although saving the apologies for this is best.
