Sometimes we need to think outside the box, checkout this great Goodnewsnetwork blog showing how it can be done:

Let’s be open to thinking outside the box. Have you ever had a time when an idea to go do something pops into your mind? This quote from Gretchen Rubin’s 21 Days & 21 Strategies to Change Your Habits reminded me of this:
“I often find that once I start paying attention to an area of my life, it becomes natural to make helpful alterations in my everyday habits.” Let’s be open to acting on those unexpected ideas and create the change we want in our lives. It would be great for kids to have the gift of Tapping. Here’s an interesting article on how parents can calm their own feelings down and teach kids a simple way to tap too. It’s important for kids to have easy ways to destress and handle upsetting events and emotions:
http://www.ahaparenting.com/…/emotional-intel…/EFT-with-kids Let’s share the gift of peace and joy. What are three small steps you can accomplish this week on a goal or project? Remember if you have resistance to taking a step break it down smaller and work on these for your three steps.
Let’s check in on a goal or project you and take some steps toward the finish line. An act of kindness I wanted to share about 20 dogs:

While on line HeatherAsh Amara's name came up. Her book sounded interesting. It's about being our true self. I ordered it and wanted to share a link. I'm looking forward to reading it.

Thanksgiving is coming and sometimes it can be stressful so let’s Tap on it and dial it down:
Check in with yourself and rate Thanksgiving stress between 0 – 10. Tap on Karate chop Point and say this three times: Even though I feel Thanksgiving stress I love and accept myself as I am Top of head This Thanksgiving stress Eye brow – Feeling tense Side of eye – This stress at a ____ (fill in your rate #) Under eye - I want to dial it down Under nose – This Thanksgiving stress Chin – I am letting it go Collar bone - I feel is draining from my body Under the arm – calm is flowing in and I feel inner peace Take some deep breaths, drink some water and check in on your #. If it is a 3 or higher do another round. Let’s dial down our Thanksgiving stress and enjoy the peace within. Think about your success(es) small to big this week and celebrate them! It feels great to accomplish something you've wanted to do. Way to go on your successes!
This week I visited a Toastmasters meeting. This is a miracle for me because the only close meeting is at 6:30 a.m. It felt great to go and I think I will be a visitor again and thinking about joining. As we go about our weekend let’s pay attention to when we feel and see delight.
This morning my friend (that is family) and I were talking about those thoughts that keep coming up like call your friend or family or pick a sewing kit up or something else.
I’ve wanted to pay attention to these more and it’s interesting that at times it’s great to follow through and other times it doesn’t seem apparent at the moment but we never know when it touches someone or that item could come in handy. I had one yesterday that was to call another friend that is family for lunch. At times it can be hard to sync our schedules but it worked for both of us yesterday. It reminded us of fun chat times over tea when we were teens. I was glad I followed through and it was great to have time with my Sister Friend. The Holidays are around the corner. Planning a head can make life easier. Here are a few suggestions:
What are a few things you could do to plan ahead and delegate? Sometimes we need a boost in our day and Tapping can help with this.
Tap on karate chop point and say out loud: Even though I feel _______(fill in the blank) I choose to have a joy-filled day. Tap and say it three times or more. Let’s have a great day! Not everyone I talk to wants to reach 90 or 100 but some people do and I’m one of them. I found this interesting article about centenarians and it gives suggestions from some:
https://www.powerofpositivity.com/secrets-of-people-over-100/ What is one or more, small to big, action you feel great about this week?
Let’s celebrate with a pat on the back,a self hug or a happy dance (mine is often in my office chair)! When we take time to acknowledge our success it's energizing. In our busy lives we can breathe shallow or catch our breath at times and it can affect how we feel. Do this breathing practice and enjoy the calm.
Then repeat it until you feel calmer. Take time today to slow down, honor yourself and focus on your breathing. |
