Thursday I was reminded of recent fires in the Columbia Gorge and how a town in the area was affected by it. If you live close to this area or another town affected by fire or other misfortune find out how you can help. I visit Cascade Locks often and plan to again. It can help businesses to thrive and I enjoy the beauty of the Gorge too.
Let’s have an adventure today and help others while doing it! Today let’s share something unique about ourselves.
One unique tidbit about me is I lived on a beautiful island for a number of years. Sometimes my skin gets dry and this can be the start of that season for me. At times I like the convenience of hand sanitizer and it can add to the dryness.
There were some posts about homemade hand sanitizer. When I looked there was more than one recipe for this and some were alcohol free. I can’t wait to make some and try it out. Checkout the link for one made with some doTerra: https://www.doterra.com/US/en/blog/recipes-hand-cleansing-gel My hands will thank me for using something less drying and this brings a smile to my face and more bliss in my life. Let’s be open to more smiles and bliss and add to our “Joyful Life Living.” Today write some mundane tasks (at home and work) you do and come up with how to flip it so you can look at how it helps you or others. Connecting it to something that keeps us clearly focused can add some joy and more pleasant moments to our day. There are many ways to be mindful or be in the moment. Recently I was reminded about how much I’m not in the moment and if I added that time up I might be surprised by the amount. Some of those times are around doing tasks I don’t enjoy. When we are doing some of those mundane or unpleasant tasks instead of checking out or thinking how wretched these are:
Let’s find some good or even better great in it! For example: Cleaning the bathroom isn’t my favorite task although focusing on having a cleaner bathroom that smells fresh can help with this and if you have someone to share the task it can go faster too. This quote touched me and I wanted to share it with you:
“No matter who you are, no matter what you do, you absolutely, positively do have the power to change.” ~Bill Phillips Quote came from this site: http://www.fitnessforweightloss.com/helpful-weight-loss-quotes/#inspiration Today was overcast and cooler than it has been. I wanted a nice cup of homemade hot chocolate, like my Mom used to make. It was delicious.
It reminded me about this post from CureJoy that had some interesting, better for us, alternatives on making hot chocolate. I want to try the ones with fruit in it. Let me know if you give one of these a try and what you thought of it. https://www.curejoy.com/content/healthy-hot-chocolate-recipes/?utm_medium=IAR-08&utm_source=FBFeed&utm_campaign=FBCJ The leaves are starting to change and fall seems to be comings. Let’s enjoy a hot chocolate or other warm soothing drink on an enjoyable fall day. I've been learning more about essential oils and just heard about this free doTerra event (flyer said it's open to all). It's going to be in different cities. I was feeling off the other day and I realized I needed to do some Tapping. I do this daily however this day I needed more. I feel better when I Tap. Some options when I do this are:
• During a meeting or class • Ridding (passenger) in the car • When I am feeling out of sorts Let’s remember to Tap daily. It can change lives.
Today I was reading in the *September 2017 Prevention magazine a great list of food that beats prolonged inflammation. The article Good Food Eat to Beat Inflammation by Perri Ormont Blumberg writes about the long term effects of chronic inflammation and how antioxidants can help with this. Here are my favorite two mentioned foods: "Spinach" & "Pineapple"*.
Let’s take care of our bodies by fueling it well. *Article information from: Prevention magazine September 2017, page 20-21. Article Name: Good Food Eat to Beat Inflammation Six picks to protect the body from damage and disease by Perri Ormont Blumberg For more Information on Prevention Magazine click affiliate link below. When we Tap daily it can lower our stress and create room for more peace and joy in our lives.
Let’s take a few minutes to Tap today. Sometimes care is needed beyond what we can do for ourselves on our own. There are new options opening up soon.
I heard doTerra is opening an integrated healthcare option with medical doctors and natural options too. I hope one comes to my city and it can be affordable too. https://healthcare.doterra.com/#intro Let’s be open to new options coming our way. I arrived early to an appointment and I was Tapping and a thought came to me to take a short walk. I thought I could do it after my appointment but I had time and did it then. It was enjoyable to feel the breeze and enjoy the sun and trees on a beautiful day.
Let’s take action when we want to do something for us, it can add to our day. Sometimes I get so focused on other life things. Writing Wednesday thought to write about:
Name one special person and/or bliss in your life today? Let's remember the bliss and/or amazing people in our lives. A great article about releasing sabotaging blocks so we can move forward with our goals. There is a life story with it.
Tapping to Unlock Your Full Potential There is a round of tapping on this too if you want to release the blocks and move forward on your goals. I remember getting the call from a friend to turn on the news. It was surreal to watch the footage of the attacks. In memory of 9/11/2001:
Let’s remember the fallen, heroes and many lives that were saved. Thank you for all who helped with 9/11. I want to spread joy and being a negative Nelly isn’t the way to do this. This doesn’t mean I don’t feel bad at times and want to share my struggles.
It is finding a medium that works for me. I prefer it to be two thirds joy and one third other. Let's find our medium and have more joy balance in our lives. I have enjoyed webinars from Fabienne Fredrickson and I ran across a book by her: Embrace Your Magnificence.
While browsing through it I found this beautiful quote by Oprah Winfrey: “People who love you don’t treat you badly. Love doesn’t hurt. It’s supposed to feel good.” This touched me and I wanted to share. Let's be open to abundant beautiful love in our lives. |
