​Tools can be a protocol, simple steps to follow, setting up small achievable goals, looking at things in a different way, even concepts to get us thinking. Tools have walked me through different life changes, including divorce life changes.

This is an interesting question “who am I “and it comes up in life many times. 
Knowing our values lets us better understand who we are, make easier decisions that fit ourselves and feel more comfortable being in our own skin.
 
A simple way to do this is to search on line for a list of values and pick out the top ten. 


When we know who we are, we can make decisions easier and feel more comfortable in our lives.

Self-Care Ideas

Lately I’ve been reading a fiction book. I used to do this all the time but have been reading other genres for many years. It’s been a great change of pace to sit, read and relax.  Here are some suggestions for relaxing:
  • Read a fun book
  • Soak in an Epsom salt bath
  • Watch a favorite show or concert
Having more than one “go to” for relaxing is a great way to self-care.

While looking for adventures near me, I ran across this one. It looked exciting and reminded me of another helicopter adventure my Hubby and I had. This could be a great way to see the sites around Portland, OR.

Rejuvenated & More focused

We found a great place to get into nature. Orenco Woods Nature park was a beautiful place to walk, enjoy nature & see some interesting sculptures.

Getting in to nature feels rejuvenating, clears the mind & we can return to work more focused.

Awesome Self-Forgiveness

Hooponopono is a Hawaiian Practice for self-forgiveness. I was tapping on this one day and really felt lighter after. Let’s Tap on the points listed and say out loud each phrase with our own name in blank three times:
​
  • Karate chop point: I’m sorry ___(name)
  • Top of head: Please forgive me___(name)
  • Inner Corner of Eye brow point: Thank you___(name)
  • Side of the eye: I love you___(name)

Repeat as much as you want.

Tapping to forgive ourselves lets us feel lighter and more at peace.

Adventures & To Dos

​It’s important to me to have some adventure in the weekend, especially when we have a three-day weekend. Often, we’ll do a day trip on a long weekend but we had many to dos on our list to get done. We both agreed to forgo the day trip, fit some fun in and check off a number of to dos too.
 
We even combined a “to do” with some fun by doing an errand, then we found something in that part of town we hadn’t done before. It felt great to fit some fun in and accomplish many “to dos” in our weekend!
