Sleep Better pt. 2

​Now that you’ve explored some do’s and don’ts before bed, it’s time to create a sleep plan.  Some ways to assist with this are:
 
  1. Pick three things to do to wind down before bed
  2. Shift the things that weren’t a fit for sleep to a better time in the day
  3. Fill out the Sleep Better pt.2 Worksheet to know your plan. Downloadable Worksheet below blog

What To Say When Tapping Made Easy

Tapping is a great way to reduce stress, uncomfortable feelings, let go of past hurts and more. When learning tapping, what to say felt challenging but it can be easy.
Using this fill in the blank script plug in one word and tap.

To avoid touching the face at this time, non-face tapping points are provided instead of the regular points. 
 
  1. Decide on a feeling that’s bugging you; sad, upset, angry ___________ (fill in the blank with a feeling). Now you’re ready to tap 
  2. Tap gently on the karate chop point (side of hand) and say out     loud 3 times: Even though I feel _________ (put in feeling word from step 1) I love and accept myself as I am
  3. Tap gently on each round & other points 3 – 5 times and say reminder phrase out loud; this_______ (put in feeling word from step 1) if still feeling it, tap on  each round point and say out loud; this ___________ (put in feeling word from step 1) I want to release it
  4. Take 2 deep breaths, check in on feeling and repeat if needed
 
It's easy and doable to decide on what to say, when using one word in the fill in the blank tapping script!

Start planning for the lonely and feeling isolated with ways to get out into the community the best way you can in the moment.
 
Here are some ideas:
  • Create or join an online chat group (zoom)
  • Take a class on something you’re interested in and mingle with other people with the same interest (photography, sewing, hiking…)
  • Join an on line support group (divorce, wellness, health issues)
 
It’s important to address and plan for lonely times and to stave off isolated feelings.

  • Skyping a family member
  •  Find on line groups to connect for those times when it’s to late or early to call people

It can feel tense hearing about the Coronavirus, here’s a script (below) for tapping to reduce Coronavirus worry.  ​​

Let's tap, love ourselves where we're at and take precautions

Tap gently on Karate chop point/side of hand and say out loud 3 times: Even though I feel worried about the Coronavirus, I love and accept myself as I am
 
Take a few deep breaths in and out. Tap gently on each round point 3 – 5 times while saying out loud the reminder phrases then take a deep breath and move to next round point:
 
Top of head- this Coronavirus worry
 
Inner eye brow – I don’t want to get sick
 
Side of eye- this Coronavirus worry
 
Under eye- What if I catch it
 
Under nose- this Coronavirus worry
 
Tap on Chin & say: can I dial this worry down
 
Tap on Collar bone point & say - this Coronavirus worry
 
Tap Under arm point & say: I want to dial this worry down


Take a few deep breaths in and out, continue, tapping round points gently saying the reminder phrases out loud:

When you were young did an experience happen around being excited about a success and someone reprimands you for bragging for it? This can be a great tapping script for this.
 

Tapping gently on the karate chop point and say this out loud 3 times:
