As I reflected on my late to bed and early to rise this morning I realized I might need to take a nap or rest in the afternoon. I used to feel guilty about this but I’m glad to notice I don’t at this time.

Let’s listen and honor our bodies by taking a rest or nap when needed. Our bodies will thank us for it.

Lately my body has been telling me to stretch and move more. It has been an issue to stay to long on the computer, even with a computer break reminder.

Now I pay more attention to it. I'm taking eye breaks and there is room to grow for movement and stretching.


Let’s listen and honor our bodies by taking stretch, movement and eye breaks. Our bodies will thank us for it.

Get Lost & Delight In Your Day

Think about what things you do that time disappears. Some people draw or paint others are drawn in or inspired in other ways. 

Do something you love to do. It can change I used to craft paint and crochet and now I write. Get lost in something you delight in today, these are joyful treats.

Stretch and Grow

Checking Off To-Do's

Yesterday I had my list in front of me and I got some things done.
 
It feels marvelous to check something(s) off my to-do list.
 
If you have somethings you’ve been wanting to get done or if you have a to-do list, work on something or complete one to a few things on it and feel great and celebrate the accomplishment.

Take Some Deep Breaths...

When we have many things to get done and struggling to make head way. Take a few deep breaths.

Create a list with dates on what needs to get done, keep it handy and focus on the one that needs to get done the soonest.

I've set a timer for short amounts of time to focus on something and this can be helpful too.

Speak Kindly To My Friend

Check in with your inner voice periodically and if it is kind thank it. When it is unkind ask yourself if someone said that to a beloved family member or friend what would you want to say to the person being unkind to one of your people.  Mine would be something like “hey be kind to my friend/family member” and to my friend or family member I’d suggest to tap to let it go.
 
Notice what your inner voice is saying periodically. Thank the positive inner voice when we notice it and when we hear the unkind inner voice speaking sharply say “Hey, speak kindly to me because I’m amazing (or I’m beautiful or I’m enough or fill in the blank with a great positive word that works for you…) and tap!”

Change Direction of Focus

When I deal with finances sometimes I can feel stressed and today was one of those days. The funny thing was I had what I needed so why did I feel nervous about it. I realized I was putting my focus in the wrong direction. I have enough and I am open for more.  
 
Let’s focus on what we have, be glad for it and be open to more abundance in all areas of our lives.  

File It In Your Brain For Later

Sometimes I have a distracting thought come up and it’s hard to stay focused on another task. One option I’ve used is:
  1. Start noticing when a distracting thought or task comes up
  2. Visualize filing it away in your brain
  3. Look at it later
This lets me acknowledge the thought and file it away until I need it.

When you notice a distracting thought visualize filing it in your brain and look at it later.

The more we notice joy in our day the more we see it. Let’s look for some bliss today and be open to inviting more of it into our day.

I'm Enough...

Sometimes we can feel like we aren’t good enough or we devalue ourselves in some way. Let’s dial down the expectation of perfection and see the value we have as we are in this moment. When we notice some inner message around this say out loud "I'm enough" because we are and to make it more powerful tap on the karate chop point while saying this.
 
Let's think positive about ourselves each day and remember you are enough in each and every moment.

Looking back over my weekend I realized the amazing people in my life and how they touch it in different ways. With their support, inspiration and kindness.

and many other ways. I'm grateful for the people in my life and that touch it many different positive ways. 


Cheeky Blue Jay

Sometimes when we least expect it beauty and wonder show up in unexpected ways. I've wanted to capture a picture of a cheeky blue jay I see often on my walks.

He’d land in a tree close to me and would fly off before my cell camera would take the picture. Yesterday I was on a walk and there he was and I got to take more than one picture too.

Somethings are worth the wait. Let's look for the unexpected and enjoy the gifts of today.

Today I felt the need to reach out to a few friends and let them know there thought of today.

Sometimes life can get busy and we can get wrapped up in the bustle of it but friends are gifts to treasure.

Let’s reach out today to a friend and/or give your furry friend(s) some extra TLC. It feels great to have connections and people that are a part of your pack or tribe.
