Finding a Lost Tool

I had learned about tapping some years back and used it for a while and then it got lost in my tool box a few times. It’s called Emotional Freedom Technic (EFT/Tapping ). It is tapping on certain acupressure points and walking through a short process. This can help release emotions and it can help with other issues too.


Then I was reintroduced to it and I found books and information on line. My Honey was open to tapping together and he was impressed by the results. I found an EFT group that meets regularly and we decided to go.

The day after going I woke up rested, and energized. I worked on many projects and was very productive. We have participated in the group and enjoyed the experience. I am glad I found this tool again.

Have you tried EFT before?

Here are the basics and google it if you’d like to learn more or find an EFT group:
  • Assess your  # between 0 – 10 (SUDS level)
  • Insert the name of your problem into the setup statement:
  • Even though I have (problem, feeling…fill in the blank), I deeply and completely accept myself
  • Tap continuously on karate chop point while repeating the setup statement three times
  • While repeating reminder phrase tap 4 – 6 times on other points starting with top of head and working your way down. Ex of reminder phrase is “this (problem fill in blank), next point- it’s a # (fill in # )
  • Check your results with a 2nd SUDS level rating when it is 2 or lower you can stop. If not do another round with reminder phrase “this remaining # & this (fill in the blank problem).  If other memories or feelings pop up and you need to tap on those do the same thing going through steps 1 - 5.

    ​With the coronavirus around & other illnesses using non-face tapping points is best. Top of the head, collar bone, karate chop and under the arm points are some of these.
