When I saw Presidents' Day on the calendar, I wondered what makes an amazing president and leader. I think we would have many similar ideas of traits and some different ones too. A few ideas are; integrity, heart, excellent listener, and speaker.

It’s difficult at times to come up with things we do well. Often, there are those amazing unique things that time disappears and it ups the joy and feels fulfilling.
What's one thing you do that’s awesome? Figure that out and go do more of it!
When struggling with a choice in your life …
Ask yourself this question:

A virus isn't the only thing that's contagious. So is joy! Help me spread it far and wide and let's leave a lasting mark on the world.
When the mind thinks about unhappy thoughts, this amps up stress. When these pop up, come back to the now and think of happier thoughts.
A way to help with this is to start writing down things that make you smile, give peace and also fond memories of love ones and more. When you notice the thoughts straying pull out your list, feel the paper in your hands, read some and connect with happier thoughts.
Have you noticed when something comes up that is a reminder to an uncomfortable event in your past, it can feel like you’re right back in that moment. This is a trigger and it can be intense and uncomfortable.
One thing I used recently was a simple and short mantra. Say it in your head as many times as you need. It helped me recognize this isn’t the same experience I had and I am okay.
Think of some simple mantras and use them when needed.

This year I've been working on getting the yard cleaned up
and bulbs planted.
Create a new association with fear . . .
When fear comes up remind yourself: This feeling and moment will pass. Focus on the positive outcome of the situation rather than the scary in-between.
Have you ever noticed when facing a difficult task procrastination shows up?
If I let it persist it becomes more challenging to even take the next step. Recently I had one of those. I set a day to do it and put it off a day but I did it. It was way easier than I thought it was going to be and it felt good to get this done.
What gives you a boost of courage and bravery?
Watching the music video Brave has given me a boost in the brave and courageous department.
What’s one thing you could choose to do differently this week?
Sometimes life gets set in a routine and sometimes this is great and other times it’s an opportunity to shake things up a bit. It doesn’t need to be huge, just something small and see what happens. Who knows, this could open a new path, reconnect more with the now or feel freer, to name a few.
